Reading 28 February 2007 : Although SPADE
was not invited to participate in the session, on what SEERA calls the
Central Oxfordshire sub-region, throughout the run up to the enquiry
SPADE has retained close links with the Oxford Green Belt Network, an
organisation whose aims and objectives are aligned with ours and the
Green Belt parishes. OGBN were invited to participate and agreed to
represent our views where appropriate. During the proceedings no direct
discussion appears to have focused around a strategic review of the
Green Belt and there were no references at all to Sunningwell or satellite

February: We have
always said that development in the green belt would not go away as an
issue and we weren’t wrong. You will not be surprised to hear that
the Examonation In Public of the South East Plan will again raise the
issue of whether there should be a review of the Oxford Green Belt.

We
are pleased to report that, since we last wrote, Oxfordshire County
Council has adopted the 2016 Structure Plan, confirming that there
will be NO major development within the Oxford Green
Belt during the plan period. This is a notable success for us, and
the many others who have battled to protect the Green Belt. Read

Inspectors report on the Vale of White Horse Local Plan has been released.
The inspector ruled AGAINST the Wilcox proposals and furthermore his
views on the proposals agree with the lobbying stance that SPADE and
