Resisting Inappropriate Development in Sunningwell Parish

How can I Help?

If you’re reading this and wondering what YOU can do to help prevent the proposed development despoiling the landscape and environment around Sunningwell, Bayworth and Boars Hill here are some suggestions:

• Join in our letter writing campaign. Send as many letters as possible to our local representatives urging them to ensure that proposals such as "penbridge" are excluded from future drafts of the structure plan. Extra information on SPADE's letter writing campaign can be found on the letter writing page

• Help in our campaign to influence the Highways Agency NOT to include a proposal to build southbound slip roads at the A34/A4183 junction. This proposal appears in the draft Regional Management Strategy for the A34 that is currently under public consultation. The website for the draft strategy is here and you can fill in a comment form online. SPADE will be writing to parishioners with further details of how best to respond to the consultation on the Regional Management strategy on the A34. If you'd like to get involved sooner get in touch via the contacts page.

• Help the SPADE delivery team by delivering leaflets in your part of the parish. You can get in touch via the contacts page.

• Join SPADE. The Action Group can always use extra help. Whatever skills you have we can put them to good use resisting the "penbridge" proposals. You can get in touch via the contacts page.

• Consider donating money to SPADE. So far the Action Group has met all of the costs involved in the campaign enabling and informing people to be effective in responding to the draft structure plan. However we are at the beginning of a long campaign and we need to raise money to effectively resist the outrageous development proposals that may otherwise utterly blight the landscape and enviroment of the Parish.
